How did 'The Idol' go from a teen drama to a twisted nightmare? The story behind HBO's latest hit

HBO's "The Idol" was supposed to be the talk of the town, but instead, it ended up being the talk of the town for all the wrong reasons.

The Idol' faced a power struggle on set similar to 'Game of Thrones' as Zoe Cassavetes created and directed the show, but Sam Levinson took over after the reboot.

The cast included some big names, like Lily-Rose Depp and Abel Tesfaye, but apparently that wasn't enough to save the production.

It seems like the crew of 'The Idol' were singing a different tune, as they complained of constant script changes and a lack of direction on set.

 Jennie from K-pop group Blackpink apparently had a minimal role, despite being a big draw for the show.

Levinson turned 'The Idol' into a twisted tale, distorting the original message and leaving fans bewildered.

Reports suggest that 'The Idol' script featured scenes of sexual and physical violence,, they remained on paper and were never brought to life on screen.

 The crew members are unsure what will actually make it into the final cut of the show, which doesn't inspire much confidence.

It's undoubtedly disappointing when a show that holds so much promise ultimately falls short of expectations, as appears to be the case with 'The Idol
